Cacao, Cocoa and Chocolate
Most people are familiar with the huge health benefits of dark cocoa, but I will list here some of the key points of cocoa aka “Food of the Gods”.

Cocoa beans comes from Theobroma cacao named tree.
Cocoa beans are main ingredient of Chocolate.
Cocoa antioxidant concentration is illustrated by the fact that the raw cocoa contains more antioxidants than blueberries, goji berry, acai-berry, red wine and grenade apple(pomegranate) sum in total.
Cocoa is known to have highest ORAC (Oxygen radical absorbance capacity, aka antioxidant value) value on the planet. Raw unprocessed Cocoa bean ORAC value is 28,000 per 100 grams. In actuality Chaga mushroom is the only thing which has higher orac number with it’s 52,452 ORAC value. For comparison Cordyceps mushroom has 12,328 and Reishi mushroom 4,934 ORAC value.

As a side note: cacao beans were used as a official currency in Mexico City up to the year 1887. Imagine that cocoa was more valued than silver or gold… It truly tells a lot about this miraculous thing called cocoa.
