Nowadays many people are asking; how to get more energy? There are many simple ways to get more energy and I’m going to focus here from my experience on the ways which personally works for me.

The best and free technique on how to get more energy? Breath more, get fresh air. Go out or open a window and do deep exhales from your lower abdominal.

How to get more energy? With water

This is also one of the most important things with good energy levels. Drinking good, clean quality water.

I drink approx 3 litres of water everyday. Whenever I drink less for some reason, I instantly see it in my energy levels.

When you wake up, try to instantly drink 0.5l pure water. Make that a habit. When you wake up you are most dehydrated. Drinking instantly 0.5l water will turn the tables and literally energize you for the day. This is one thing I want everyone to experiment with. Easy and effective morning habit for more energy. This habit is advocated by the countless number health experts and high achievers.

Note: drink mainly pure water, obviously no sodas, no tea, no coffee. Pure water. Preferably room temperature, cold water is bad for your stomach in the morning and you probably won’t like drinking ice-cold water instantly after waking up.


Optimal sleep gives you more energy

This is almost needless to say, but sleep the 7-8 hours every night. Not more and not less. Especially not more than 8 hours, sleeping more than 8 hours is actually unhealthy and from my experience it might actually lower my energy levels for the day. If I sleep too much I feel like drained and have brain fog and get headache.

7-8 hours sleep per night is the sweet spot for most people.


Eat breakfast for more energy

How to get more energy? With everyday habit of breakfasting.

Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day. That’s true, but what kind of breakfast it should be?

Breakfast should be high in protein, eggs would be great choice but that just doesn’t cut it for most people as some people do not want to cook or eat cooked food in the morning.

What I myself like is smoothies, fresh morning smoothie instantly after I wake up.

Here is one of my all time favorite smoothie recipes for the morning:

Chocolate-banana protein smoothie

Frozen banana
4dl water

Scoop or two of Whey protein concentrate with chia seeds. Banana flavor which works personally for me in every smoothie.

I have used maca for 2 years regularly now. Usually I use it 1 month straight and then keep 1 week off, or 3 months on and 1 month off. To get maca down, I recommend to blend it in smoothies where you can’t really notice its strong taste. Some people love the taste and some absolutely hate it… I’m kind of indifferent to its taste. It is what it is. I eat it because it works and benefits me, not because of the taste.
